From Small Loan to Thriving Business
When Ekanem Asuquo received her first loan of ₦100,000 in 2019, she was working alone, sewing clothes from her small room in Calabar. Today, she runs a fashion design shop that employs three apprentices and serves customers across Cross River State.
"The loan was just the beginning," Ekanem explains. "The financial education workshops taught me how to manage my money and price my work properly. Living Spring saw potential in me that I didn't even see in myself."
Her success has inspired others in her community. The apprentices she trains are young women who are learning skills to become independent. Ekanem has also started mentoring other aspiring tailors in Calabar.
